Friday Chicago appt.

We leave late afternoon tomorrow for Illinois. We'll spend the night tomorrow night with relatives and then will head to Chicago on Friday morning for our appt. with the orthopedic surgeon (11am).
Specific prayer requests:
- Pray that she will continue to consult w/me, although it appears she is out of
answers or a fix. My two ortho dr.'s are at a loss regarding what to do next.
- Pray that I get most/all of my questions answered ... long list.
- We are trying to make some decisions about getting a second opinion;
insurance is a big issue with one place & we need wisdom to make the right choice.

Pray for strength, grace & that I can be be rational or not emotional during our Friday meeting. I find myself easily in tears these days and I need to get through the appt. and remain in one piece. I do want to go, although I know it will not be easy. Last but not least, I really want to exhibit strong faith in all of this ... pray that He will be glorified and honored.

Good thoughts that I read today from Max Lucado .....
What is God doing when we are in a bind? When the lifeboat springs a leak? When the rip cord snaps? We know what we are doing ... but what does God do? He fights for us. He steps into the ring and points us to our corner and takes over. "Remain calm; the Lord will fight for you." (Exod. 14:14) His job is to fight. Our job is to trust. Just trust. Not direct. Or question ... Our job is to pray and wait.

Lord help us to pray, wait and trust ... no matter how long it takes.
Taking the laptop and will try to update the blog on Friday evening ....
Love & hugs,
jenny

Oh, goodie! You're taking the laptop! I just e-mailed you, too...(you'll have to pop over & see)...so I'm glad to hear you'll keep us all in the foot loop. That's foot LOOP, not foot-LOOSE...though I wish YOUR foot was LOOSER than it has been, sticking there all frozen up and difficult-like. Oh, BOTHER! Prayed for you today w/ your appt and w/ your travel. My grandfather used to call my grandmother "the war department." Grandpa, is it OK if we... I dunno...you'd better consult "the war department" [grandma] kind of thing. If I think @ my mom...I think she could fit in the war department category on some planes. Not so much about your mom, though...she seems so mild and supportive and good bedside manner, wrote a cookbook, always driving and flying places with you and stuff. So what should we call her? The Homeland Defense department? Yeah...that might be a good fit. She's lookin' out for you in person when the rest of us can't be there...though I'd like to be...not just for moral support..but-hello-Chicago-land-SHOPPING! We would SO get you a wheelchair so we could MAKE TRACKS at the malls, girl! Just thinking 'bout you! Hugs! The Jobacks (but mostly THIS one)
