We had a great Christmas! It was a very relaxing day filled with yummy food and a grateful heart for the progress we've made in the past year. It was a year ago today that we were visiting the plastic surgeon in Chicago and realized that we had a serious wound probelm that needed help. January & February last year were really rough as we sought lots of medical opinions, but made little progress .... very thankful that is behind us now.
I'm still taking a little pain medication, but it is mainly due to "fatigue pain" that comes from using it and it needing to be stronger.
One of the gifts that I gave my mom was a picture that contained lots of pictures of me wearing a shoe (in the past two weeks) and several favorite pics from our medical journey. It was similar to a photo collage and was in a silver frame. Mom loved it!
We've been busy the past few days entertaining friends from out of town .... hope your Christmas Day was a special one!
Love,
je

OK...I must admit that I had to corner your Dad yesterday at church and find out what the oh-so-special gift was that you gave to your mom b/c I couldn' WAIT to hear. What a good idea! And appropriate for a woman who has so tirelessly been by your side through this journey and long road. Glad it's on the up-side! Hugs! L Jo
