Pt on Tuesday went well and it was fun to reconnect with my therapist again. I am really fortunate to have his office right next door to my office and to have been able to stay with the same therapist for 3+ years. I noticed that I had a new, clean file folder for my chart and he said that he moved the volume 1 notes to a binder! We are going to work on walking and to get the forefoot to function with the hind foot. Because either the front or the back has always had an issue it is like it now has to be retrained to work together & function as one foot. My calf on the operative leg is 2” smaller than the other leg. We’re going to do pt 2x/week for the next month and see what results happen. We’re taking it slow, as not to send the foot, nerves, muscles, tendons, etc. into “shock!”
Somehow I picked up a cold at work, so I’ve been fighting the sore throat and sniffles all week. Between the flu and this cold, I’ve been sick more this month than healthy. I have to be thankful though that neither happened around a surgery date. I am very ready to have a break from students, but I have 7 more visit days (125 kids each day) after this week, then a two day break, then a full week of summer camp.
My incision has been super itchy this week, so not sure what that is about. It looks similar to when I was told that I was allergic to the internal sutures, but who knows. Either way, there is no fixing it.
Looking forward to the long holiday weekend ….. hope you are enjoying sunny weather!
Love,
Jenny

Jenny, Sounds like things are going well, so glad to hear good news. I was in the er over mothers day weekend. I will make a long story short I had pain in the mid right side of my stomach around to my back, they thought gallbladder but all tests showed nothing. Doctor seems to think maybe ulcers so she changed my medicine and I will see her in a month possibly for more tests. I will keep you posted. Teddy gets out of school June 1st he is very ready for the year to be over and move on to the 8th grade if you can believe that. Take care thinking of you and always praying for you and your family. Hey, girl! Will pray for your immune system to KICK into gear!!! Thankful you have the same PT guy who is so familiar w/ you (lengthy) story... SAD you have said story stored in a BINDER b/c it's too BIG and LONG for a folder anymore. Egads!!!!! Most people are GERIATRICS when they have their folders moved to like Vol 1, Vol 2 ... or Decade 6, Decade 7, Decade 8. Know what that means? You ARE young, but you've paid too many co-pays, girl!
