Chicago Weekend Ahead .....

Happy Friday .... this is blog post #335 - wow!

Just a quick note to let you know that I’ll update the blog on Tuesday after my appt. in Chicago on Monday (thinking it will be late on Monday night when we get home).

The wound/incision stuff looked really good at the beginning of the week and it has gone downhill at the end of the week. Who knows what it will look like on Monday …. honestly I’d like Dr. P to get a good picture of how rough it looks most of the time.

Good news on the pt front …. We have made big progress in the past month with the “pronation” movement (gas pedal motion). I’ve gone from 48 degrees to 52 degrees to now 62!! Sometimes it takes me 6-8 months to get ten degrees of new movement, so this is awesome ….. guess driving with the correct foot has helped!

I sold my car – yippee! A family from Fenton purchased it for their daughter to use at college.

Pray for safe travel, fun time with mom and a good visit with Dr. P on Monday (9:45am appt.). I think she is coming off a week of vacation and it is her first day back in the office and a Monday no less, so hopefully we can spend a little bit of time w/her. (Not great planning on my part, but that is the way this time.)

Happy weekend to you!

Hey! Hope your Chicago-bound weekend goes well...and good luck spending much time w/ Doc b/c if it's her 1st day back in, she'll be swamped. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your toenail flower! The ladies at those pedicure places should really be "true" artists sometimes b/c most of them are so talented at doing stuff like that freehand! Amazing. I'm at work on a slow moment in the schedule. There are 2 labs outside the window playing on the front yard w/ their owners & Charlie, the giant tortoise out there grazing...or sunning himself...or something. He has a GPS unit on him now so he doesn't get lost. It kind of looks like a piece of dynamite glued to his shell. But it's not. It's a tracking device. Isn't that bizarre? Ah, well...must go. Hope you had a good weekend. LJo

Jenny, Love the flowers on your big toes they are so cute. Maybe it is a good thing you are seeing your doc the first day back from her vacation at least she will be well rested. Your foot looks good and flat cannot tell from the pictures how the wounds really look. Hope all goes well Monday. Looking forward to the next update and more good news. Have a safe trip. Love, Ted,Carol,Teddy

Jenny -- thinking about you this AM (Monday) and hoping you have a good visit / re-connect w/ Dr P in Chicago. Hoping, also that she has some good advice @ the pesky wound healing issue. Hoping, thirdly, that you have good shopping time in Chicago...which, admit it, is REALLY why you went up there. It has NOTHING do w/ doctors or wounds...it's all about great buys, browsing, and the thrill of the fabulous purchase! L Jo
