We are on post-op week #5 and we need to step up the prayer ..... the open areas are increasing and there is more drainage/bleeding and swelling that is happening. I really need the path report to reveal something substantial .... doesn't matter what it is at the moment, but we just need a definitive diagnosis. I'm not as concerned about treating it as I am concerned about where to go from here being tough, if we cannot pinpoint the problem. We have not tried a wound vac with this, but I am somewhat leery of trying it (often doesn't work) & it involves an external drain that is a hassle on the foot. However, I'm open to anything at this point ..... if we need to skin graft, I want to get on w/it.
Pray for: Wisdom, encouragement, path report w/problem areas to surface, treatment plan going forward and that the Dr. B will see the need to help or do something more, whether it be new Rx medication, surgery, etc.
Believing that all things are possible in Him,
Jenny

Jenny, I am not quit sure what to say except that I am feeling your pain and emotions. I agree with you that there still seems to be an underlying problem. Lets hope that Dr.B can literally get to the bottom of it. I am anxiously waiting for your Friday appointment as well as you. Take it one day at a time prayers are with you. Love, Ted,Carol.Teddy
Only one more day until your appointment, so I'm praying that is helpful in some regard. I agree that the path report may not be back yet w/ the original estimate he gave you return-wise but perhaps he will have another idea or formulate (quickly) another plan to help. I DID chuckle (rather loudly ... glad I was at home instead of work) about the gross gummy foot story in WalMart. If I see it, I'll be tempted to purhase it for you ... though it would probably be gross to eat something that big that is gummy ... or better yet I'LL fund the postage and mailing to Herr Doktor who started this whole mess. Just getting "huffy" in your defense, my dear. Thinking of you this raining afternoon and hoping that you are encouraged and lifted up in prayer. L Jo
