Appt. Follow-Up

Pt went well on Wednesday …. was able to get a few more degrees of ROM. I was there for almost two hours, but I had a good workout.

The dr. appt. this morning did not go as I had hoped. I don’t have much tolerance or patience for arrogance, second guessing, and the “everything you have done has been wrong” attitude at this point in a long medical journey. There was a lot of all of that today & I left more frustrated and upset. I had 10 vials of blood drawn and it will be three weeks before we know anything more or have reports back. We will see what the reports show, but I am not convinced this is the right doctor. It is going to take a lot for me to want to work w/him.

Brought lots of work home tonight, because I was out of the office for so long today ….. tomorrow is a new day with no appointments. Thank goodness!

Jenny, I am so glad to hear that pt went so well. However, on the other hand I am as frustrated as you are with the other doctor. Do they act like that just because they can? How rude have you not been through enough? I would hope with 10 tubes of blood they could give your life history and then some. What is with the three week wait, they must be sending it overseas. Well lets hope and pray that his intelligence overrides his personality. Thinking of and praying for you always. Teddy and Carol

Jenny--I laughed at Jenny and Carol's "must be sending it overseas" comment...b/c I AGREE! CBC's are ready in 2 minutes, Chemistries are ready in 12 minutes, thyroids are ready in 12 minutes, liver profiles are ready in 12 minutes ON SITE, and my send-out stuff (to the lab)is 24 hour turn around for some stuff, 2-3 working days for other stuff, 1 week for a culture and sensitivity, etc. I dunno. It's a quandry. I WILL tell you, though, an interesting fact. A recent test that was run on ME was charged >$1000 to the insurance company. The same test run on a dog was only $196. Maybe you should morph into a Daschund or a Persian. Then your testing won't cost so much and you can get results MUCH sooner. Just a thought. L Jo

Jenny, Getting anxious I keep looking and nothing, very disappointing. However, I am sure not as disappointed as your are. Here's hoping you are doing OK and your patience are holding out. I have been trying to send you a few e-mails to entertain you now and then not that you do not have enough to do. Just letting you know we are forever thinking of you and praying for you. Love Ya!
