Quick update . . .

All is about the same . . . just trying to figure out what works for socks, tights, and dress socks. I do think either all cotton or all silk seem to be helping. I’m tired of having to send things back, but that is just the way it will be until I can get something that works. Not quite there yet, but getting closer.

I had pt on Wednesday. I had a long conversation with my therapist about my big toe & how pain in it is what causes me to stop exercising or not walk as fast. It is because the big toe is fused, so it has no movement. Now that I am trying to be more active, it is very noticeable to me . . . I want it to work (bend/move) & it cannot. Fusing the big toe is the one thing I wish I’d done differently. I don’t think there should be pain there though, unless I’m just really pushing the limit on activity. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you don’t need big toe movement . . . it is more valuable than you’d ever imagine. The four little toes are lost without a leader! Despite all of this, I continue to be grateful for the progress we’ve made.

Jenny, Glad to hear that everything is near normal. You would not think in this day and age it would be hard to find anything cotton or organic that is where it is all at these days. About your big toe I guess you have to just live with it at least for the time being. I am sure no more surgeries in the near future for you? Hopefully PT will help you learn to use it more and more. Thanks for the updates always looking for them love to hear how you are doing. Have a great thanksgiving with your family and enjoy some down time. Thinking of you always. Love, Teddy and Carol

Appreciate your positive words today! And the poor four little piggie without a working big pig! You're right! If the first "this little piggie" doesn't "go to market," nobody else knows to "stay home," "have roast beef," "have none," or go "wee wee wee wee all the way home." Thinking of you. L Jo
