I went back to work today, although I sat nearly all day with the foot up. I am into vacation time now and am trying to be conservative on missing days. I slept all night last night and didn't wake up at all - yeah! I was able to go the entire night without any pain medication. I am taking a little pain medication, but nothing substantial. I was somewhat tired today, but I made it .... will head to bed early tonight and tomorrow is Friday. I'll have the weekend to rest at home. I need to take a picture of the incision and e-mail to the Chicago orthopod either tomorrow or Saturday. I have not removed any bandages yet to see it. She said that it won't look real "pretty," so don't be alarmed at the visual appearance. Glad for the tip off! Thanks again for all your prayers and warm thoughts this week ... I feel like we made good progress and hopefully healing in the next two weeks will progress as planned. Happy weekend!
