Greetings! Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but there has been little to report. I am doing well and all continues to be good with the foot. The pain that I was experiencing around the big toe went away naturally (no clue why), so maybe it must have been a temporary thing. All is going well with walking, stamina, and doing everyday things. My toes have not stiffened up, after stopping pt, which is a blessing. I think we may finally be at the point that I don't think about the foot every couple hours ..... sometimes I will now go the entire day without consciously thinking about it and this has never truly happened. Today I walked 7.08 miles at work ..... this would have NEVER happened a year ago. I continue to have a lot to be grateful for and continue to appreciate the simple things in life. The scar over the transplant area is really start to fade nicely now, after 1 1/2 years .... at some point you won't be able to see it at all.
I still have to be fairly careful about shoe wear, but that is okay. I am kinda dreading spring shoes, as so many have an open back, and those are much harder for me to keep on and walk well. I'll make it work though, have no worries! April 12th is my appt. w/the orthopedic hip surgeon .... the receptionist asked if I wanted to come in sooner and I declined. April will be soon enough! I'm not planning on doing anything surgery wise with the hip until July at the earliest.
I travel back to Memphis tomorrow for work and will be there through the end of the week. I am still fighting bronchitis, but am much better than I was a week ago. I ended up missing four days of work and it has been lingering on and on ..... everyone at my office seems to be sick, so it is tough to stay healthy at the moment.
Thanks for checking in and blessings for a great week!
Jenny

Dear Jenny, So thankful for the good update. I was always a believer that you were going to be fine. I also know a fighter when I meet one and fight you did! Without your faith and the faith of all of your family and friends you may not have had the same results. You never gave up even in the most difficult of situations. So happy for the end result cannot wait to make a date with you for lunch, Teddy and I would love to see you and have a nice visit. You will not believe how grown up he is just like his daddy. So lets make a date for lunch and just do it. Love and prayers. Carol,Ted and Teddy
No news is good news w/ your foot, I'd say. And I haven't been writing much lately, either ... on blogs OR e-mail (not that you don't know THAT ... you DO)! Ugh. Sickness abounding in our household too, one person after another like the PLAGUE! If the kids weren't so cute, I'd consider getting RID of them (kidding) b/c they're such germ-fests! You can only wash your hands SO many times b4 they just about FALL OFF from over-drying! Thinking about you and WILL get around to answering your e-mail from, like, October ... well not that bad, but ALMOST! ... soon. L Jo
