Just a quick note to let you know that all is still fantastic with my foot! There is no pain and I am able to do a lot more, now that we took care of the toe issue. The skin problems continue to subside, and I'd guess that in another week or so you won't be able to see anything on either leg. The "spots" are totally gone on the left leg and have faded a lot already on the right leg . . . . I think it was a combination of the Staph infection, and lanolin/Lycra/spandex allergy. I've seen a huge improvement with the the organic socks and tights. I really should go back to my dermo dr. and show her . . . she won't believe the improvement. She thought the scarring would never go away, but it is fading.
At the end of this week, it will be seven months since the last surgery. Every month that I go without issues is a stronger indication that there might not be future "issues." The micro surgeon that did my transplant surgery in San Antonio has since moved to Pennsylvania. I read an article last week that he recently performed one of the first hand transplants. That patient wanted to be able to wear a wedding ring and he made it happen - long & technical surgery. I was so fortunate to have had him as a physician.
Christmas was relaxing and enjoyable . . . it was great to just enjoy the meaning of the holiday and not have to focus on health issues. I did miss the handicapped parking pass a teensy bit, but not enough to truly need one!
Need to get dinner going . . . . thanks for checking in!

Jenny, So glad to hear that time is marching on with no issues that is a great thing. Also happy to hear you had a very relaxing Christmas it is about time. We as Teddy said had a very humble Christmas and it was great. We wish you a blessed new year with health, wealth and peace of mind. Thinking of you! Love, Teddy and Carol
Oh my gracious...hang on to that handicapped parking tag for as long as you CAN! But only for shopping reasons...not b/c you really need it ... which I'm glad you DON'T!!!!! Good reports on all fronts: skin, foot, toe, etc. Thinking about 'cha! L Jo
