Latest foot photo .... you can see the skin grafting area on the side of the foot. You can't tell anything as to the positioning of the foot, but you can tell by this photo that the skin graft area is now fully healed ... yeah! The new skin will always be dry, because the grafted skin does not have the ability to "sweat." Sorry you can't see the four small toes - this is because they are droopy again ... the straightening position did not remain after we took the pins out at the end of May.
Getting ready to head to Illinois tomorrow and then Chicago early Friday morning. I will update the blog when we return home on Saturday.

Hey, girl! Thinking of you today and your travels to Chicago. So glad the surgeon is so honest and straightforward with you and willing to see you, even on some of her busiest of days. I was oh-so-amused to see the brightly and perfectly painted toe amidst the imperfect foot... helps, doesn't it? A feminine touch for a feminine gal. Lifting you up in prayer this weekend. Glad, too, that the surgeon had the wisdom to see the "red flags" about the Boston option that I think were pretty evident, too. I was a friend's pool today and was scooting around with the kids in the shallow end...scraped off the top of my toenail polish, so I'm envious of your perfect toes tonight. Who knows when I'll have the "pamper me" time to repaint and repair the damage done by the pool cement. Ah, well. Vanity. Big hug! Jobacks out!
